Are you an Student Searching for a Job?
Internships, Summer Jobs, or Jobs After Graduation
Most alumni fall into one of the following 3 categories, based on their current interest in finding a new job, position, or career:
Active jobseekers - looking for a job or career change immediately, or in the near future.
Passive jobseekers - not actively seeking a change, but open to the possibility of a change if the right position, location, or other opportunity were to arise.
Inactive jobseekers - Happy and content with their current position and career path, not interested in entertaining other possibilities.
Active jobseekers will be matched with prospective employers and current jobs, based on their seeker profile as they fill it out and maintain it in our system, and on the results of their ProfileXT™ assessment. Most employers will attempt to fill their positions from this group, if they can find qualified applicants.
Passive jobseekers will also be matched, and will have the opportunity to contact employers who have a current opening that is a good match to their profile in our system, including the results of the ProfileXT™ assessment. Often, an employer will look to this group to fill jobs that have very specific or demanding requirements for success, and when the Active jobseeker group has not produced a viable candidate.
Inactive jobseekers can rest assured that they will not be pestered with job notices or offers. If they have a profile established, though, they will have a safety net in case of change. If their category changes to active, or passive, it will activate the power of the seeker search system to begin their job search, with just a few clicks.
ApplicantSearch™ is a powerful system that is free for all alumni. ApplicantSearch™ will help assure you and your potential employer that their job is a good match for you and your skills and characteristics. Just as important, you remain in control of where you fit in the system, and you can update or change your profile and search status at any time.
